How to make a Popcorn Alexander
Pour all ingredients into a shaker or mixing glass with ice.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with caramel popcorn.
How to make popcorn syrup
In a medium saucepan combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool and add popcorn. Leave it to steep for 30 minutes. Then simply strain and use.
TIP: Cocktail Accessories
Invest in a quality shaker. It’s essential and will last forever. Whether to choose a Boston-style (two cups that fit into each other) or a shaker with a built-in strainer is a personal preference.
A mixing glass is a must for all your Negronis, Manhattans and other stirred cocktails. Often comes with a mixing/bar spoon.
You’ll also need a strainer (if your shaker doesn’t have a built-in one) to prevent ice from ending up in your glass.
Last but not least, a good jigger is absolutely necessary. A double-sided one with two different size cups on both sides comes handy.
